A decade ago, in 2016, natural kratom was reviewed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the DEA and was determined not to merit scheduling.
In 2021, the United Nations and the World Health Organization’s Expert Committee on Drug Dependence formally reviewed kratom and concluded that it did not even warrant a critical review.
Now, eleven U.S. Senators are relying on social media sensationalism and fear-driven media narratives, treating kratom as if it were a new and unexamined substance that should be scheduled by the FDA.
We must tell them the truth.
The FDA got it right in July 2025 when it recognized the clear difference between natural kratom and dangerous synthetic products.
Tell your Senators to follow the science. Americans deserve to keep kratom safe—not banned or criminalized.
